In order to minimize save game disruption, we offer several different versions of GearCity. The most common two builds are Default Build and Testing Build. Default Build is the initial version you install on Steam. Testing Build is the latest version of the game. Testing build has frequent save game changes, which requires the player to start a new save game. There is also a 32-bit Build for compatibility reasons.

The following are steps on how to change builds.

1. Click “Library” Step 1.
2. On the left list, select “GearCity” (The game must be installed.) Step 2.
3. Right Click “GearCity” in the list. Step 3.
4. Select “Properties” Step 4.
5. Click the “Betas” tab. Step 5.
6. Click the drop down button. Step 6.
7. Select the build you wish to play. Step 7.
