===== Getting the Log File ======

  - Follow the steps for [[troubleshooting:steam_installfolder#Steam: Accessing Install Folder | opening the install folder]]. 
  - Next you will need to open the "GearCity" folder. The file hierarchy may look something like this: //"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\GearCity\GearCity"//. Or //"C:\GOG Games\GearCity\GearCity"//
  - Inside should be a file named "Logfile.log". 
  - Email this file and any other other information to admin@ventdev.com



You may notice up to six log files in the folder. GearCity creates a new log file every time you open the game. The program retains old log files for up to five sessions. Old log file names contain the number of gaming sessions ago you played. Take Logfile_3_SessionsAgo.log as an example. This file is from three gaming sessions ago. If you open the game again, Logfile_3_SessionsAgo.log will become Logfile_4_SessionsAgo.log. And Logfile_5_SessionsAgo will be deleted from your system. When in doubt, just send them all.
